City of Clarkston Introduces a New Way it Reaches Citizens

ALPHARETTA, GA, December 20, 2011- The City of Clarkston announced today that they
have teamed up with Alpharetta-based Interactive Defense, LLC to provide the citizens of
Clarkston a way to better engage in communication with their police department.

“We are very excited about the multiple capabilities associated with this platform,” states
Clarkston City Manager Keith Barker, “I love the fact that citizens can schedule home watch
services, report code and public works issues and share important information with each other,
all on the same web site.”

Citizens are now able to ‘go live’ with the web-based system by going to www.clarkstonids.com
and setting up their Interactive Defense SystemTM (IDS) account.

In addition to many other functions, after creating their IDS account, community members
will be able to see a database of wanted and missing persons, a crime map depicting specific
areas where crimes have occurred, and provide tips on cases currently being investigated by the
Clarkston Police Department.

Interactive Defense is a free, web-based communication solution revolutionizing the way
citizens interact with their local government. More information about IDS can be found at
interactivedefense.com.
